WHY I STARTED?
I graduated cosmetology school at 18 years old. I spent 8 years traveling to do hair & makeup for special events. Being that I was always using my hair and makeup kits, it had to be organized before and after every client. I got my very first apartment soon after I graduated and I realized organizing the space you live in is just as important as your work space. Every time someone came over, they would compliment how organized my home was. From the pantry to under the bathroom sink. Organizing made my house a home. Once I had my son in 2021, I wanted to make sure every item in his room had a place, all of the clothes in his closet were color coded along with his books, and labels EVERYWHERE! Not only was this going to help me, but also my husband, and in the future it will help my son.
With all of the outside chaos, walking in to an organized space makes me feel at peace. I want everyone to feel this way when entering their home. Not only do I want to organize spaces, I want it to look aesthetic and for your system to be attainable. After years of organizing friends and families homes, I realized this was something I was extremely passionate about. That's when I created The Altered Home, so I can turn my passion into a career.
I spent so many years in the cosmetology industry making clients beautiful, now it's time to make your home beautiful.
